Mark Elliot Zuckerberg was born on 14th May 1984 in White Plaines, New York. He was raised as a Jewish and when he was 13, he became a Bar Mitzvah. He won prizes in math, astronomy, physics and classical studies in his junior year. His father, Edward Zuckerberg taught him Atari BASIC Programming in the 1990s. He graduated in 2002 from Phillips Exeter Academy.

He met Priscilla Chan (His Future Wife) at a fraternity party. And they started to date since 2003. On 4th February 2004, Mark founded Thefacebook, originally located at thefacebook.com. Six days later, three seniors from Harvard; Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss and Divya Narendra accused Zuckerberg that he purposefully misled them into believing that Mark would help them build a social network known as HarvardConnection.com, while Zuckerberg was instead using their ideas to create a competing product.

In August 2004, Mark Zuckerberg, Andrew McCollum, Adam D’Angelo and Sean Parker launched a peer-to-peer file sharing service known as Wirehog. It was a competitor of i2hub.com, another campus-only service founded by Wayne Chang. “It’s not because of the amount of money. For me and my colleagues, the most important thing is that we create an open information flow for people. Having media corporations owned by Conglomerates is just not an attractive idea to me,” Zuckerberg told his reasoning in an interview in 2007.

He reported in 2010 that the company has reached 500 million users. Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan married in the Zuckerberg’s backyard on May 19, 2012; the same year on October 1st, he visited Russian Prime Minister Dimitry Medvedev in Moscow.

Zuckerberg met him to stimulate social media innovation in Russia and to boost the position of Facebook in the Russian Market. His first daughter, Maxima Chan Zuckerberg was born on 31st July 2015.
